Nadeshot

Nadeshot – The Los Angeles-based organization left the CS: GO scene in October 2020, during a low point for the game due to the global health crisis, which caused in-person events to be canceled and tournaments to transition to an online-only format. This caused the organization to leave during a difficult time for the game.

Although 100 Thieves was involved in both the ESL Pro League and the BLAST Premier at the time, Nadeshot stated that the “ambiguity, vagueness, and uncertainty” in the CS: GO scene were reasons why the team decided to leave the game.

During a stream on August 29, Nadeshot stated that although he is “pretty happy” with the games in which 100 Thieves currently compete, he would “love” to see the organization’s banner still fly in CS: GO competitions. Nadeshot made this statement despite the fact that he previously stated that he is “pretty happy” with the games in which 100 Thieves currently compete.

“It’s a really hard game to manage and build a winning team,” he told viewers. “If I had it my way, we would have a CS:GO team today. I love the game, the community, the rivalry, [and] the history of the game. I think it’s incredible to watch, even if you don’t play it.

“But it’s very expensive, it’s really hard to build a winning team, it takes a lot of time, it takes the right combination of players. There are a lot of hurdles there. That’s why I have a ton of respect for other organizations that have made it work. It’s not easy.”

In December of 2017, 100 Thieves made their debut on the CS: GO scene by signing a Brazilian roster. This roster featured the core members of the Immortals team, which had competed in and reached the championship match of the PGL Major Krakow earlier in 2017.

Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe and the rest of the squad were released without making a single appearance for 100 Thieves as a result of immigration issues, which caused the team to end up missing the ELEAGUE Major Boston. Nadeshot

It took more than a year for 100 Thieves to make another move in the space after they initially entered it. It did not return to the game until October 2019, when it signed Renegades’ Australian lineup. At the time, the team had just finished a run to the semi-finals at the StarLadder Major in Berlin.

The team was able to break into the top five in the world rankings after competing under the new organization and reaching its first-ever tier-one LAN final at the IEM Beijing. However, the team was unable to maintain its momentum after tournaments switched to an online format and teams could only compete against other teams from their own region.

Joakim ‘jkaem’ Myrbostad was transferred to Apeks before reuniting with Aaron ‘AZR’ Ward, Sean ‘Gratisfaction’ Kaiwai, and Jay ‘Liazz’ Tregillgas under the banner of the Russian organization EXTREMUM. Justin ‘jks’ Savage, the star player of the team, was sold to Complexity Gaming.
